The chain of premium boutique hotels Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has added the ability to pay for room reservations in bitcoin, Ethereum and 40 other cryptocurrencies.

The initiative was implemented in partnership with payment service Coindirect.

It is assumed that in the future the option will be integrated into booking aggregators. At the moment, payment is possible on network sites.

"Expanding payment methods, combined with security and peace of mind for our guests, will enhance the personalization of services provided," explained Gordon Oldham, founder and owner of Pavilions.

The company's network consists of 14 properties in Europe and Asia, including Rome, Amsterdam, Madrid, Lisbon and the island of Bali.

Recall that in July 2020, tour operator Expedia and blockchain booking service Travala introduced the ability to pay for rooms in 700,000 hotels in bitcoin.

In March 2021, Latvian airline airBaltic added the option to buy tickets for Ethereum, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, USD Coin, Binance Dollar, Gemini Dollar and Paxos.
